so, i 'm about to finish school. forever. kinda neat.

exams are over, but i have to scrap together an essay for media that i had done, but died - in about an hour now. the project for said topic is all done, might try throwing it up here later.

in other news, IT'S FREAKEN' HOT. ,also recently , australia's cable tv (foxtel, austar, optus) got upgraded - new channels and the such. most of these are just things like "showtime comedy" and "the family movie channel", but we've also got two new kids channels - i can't remember one of them, but the other's called Kid'sco or something. basically, i can sum these two channels up in the following sentence - kid's shows from the last 17 years the world wanted to forget about. i can't remember most of the shows, because there were two that really shook me when i saw the listings and made it feel like i just got stabbed. "sonic the hedgehog" and "sonic underground". the old 1993 saturday morning cartoons.
THESE WERE TAKEN OFF THE AIR FOR A REASON. AS MUCH AS I LIKE SONIC, THESE SHOWS ARE TERRIBLE TO ME - LIKE, WORSE THAN SONIC X. IT'S WHERE THE ARCHIE COMIC SERIES GOT IT'S IDEAS FROM, AND ALSO THE SPAWNING POINT OF THAT SERIE'S MARY-SUE, SALLY ACORN. AND PEOPLE THINK SONIC SOUNDS BAD THESE DAYS - THE VOICE FOR HIM IN THESE SHOWS MAKES SMALL CHILDREN CRY. MUM'S IN ADELAIDE RIGHT NOW, BUT I'M NOT HAVING A GOOD TIME IMAGINING THE LOOK ON HER FACE WHEN SHE IS CHANNEL FLIPPING AND GOES PAST CHANNEL 718 WHEN SHE GETS BACK...

in other other news, i got myself a copy of brutal legend - and REALLY LIKE IT. a fair amount of references to old metal songs, an all star cast featuring jack black, ozzy osbourne and others, a brilliant soundtrack, and immensly fun gameplay. seriously - it's like dynasty warriors, but cool. but the rts - style stagebattles are flawed in a few ways (not enough to stop it from being fun), it's really EFFIN' SHORT (6 AND A HALF HOURS), there is NO METALLICA IN THE SOUNDTRACK, AND THE 7:20 SONG "THROUGH THE FIRE AND FLAMES" BY DRAGONFORCE IS USED ON A LEVEL THAT TAKES A LITTLE OVER A MINUTE TO BEAT. LOGIC ERROR. HEY SHEEPWOOL - ONCE I'VE GOTTEN BETTER AT IT AND IV'E OBTAINED A PERMANENT INTERNET CONNECTION, I'LL TAKE YOU ON.

and lastly, my older sister is coming up for christmas i believe - quite happy about that.
